You have been doing this without enough help.

Raising a child with autism in Anchorage is not like raising one anywhere else. The winters are long, the provider list is short, and for too many families the answer to “where do we go for ABA therapy?” has been: nowhere close, nowhere available.

Kennedy ABA is changing that. We come to your home, no commute through the cold, no clinic waiting room, no gap between where your child feels safe and where their therapy happens.

What ABA Therapy Can Do for Your Child

Communication
Your child finds reliable ways to express what they need and feel, whether through speech, signs, or a communication device.
Difficult moments become shorter and less frequent. Your child builds real tools for handling transitions and the unexpected.
Daily living skills
Morning routines. Meals. Hygiene. The skills that change the texture of every day for your whole family.
Social connection
Interacting with a sibling, making a friend, reading a room. The social world becomes more accessible.
Safety
Recognizing danger, knowing when to ask for help, responding to an adult in a critical moment. Skills that last a lifetime.

Our ABA Services in Anchorage

Your therapist comes to you. In Anchorage, where a February clinic commute means ice, darkness, and a child who may have already hit their limit before therapy starts, in-home care is not just convenient. It is genuinely better.

We work alongside your child's teachers and support staff at the Anchorage School District, aligned with IEP goals, not running a separate program alongside them.

Built into every program. You learn the strategies your child's plan is built around so progress does not stop when the session ends.

Telehealth Services
For parent training sessions and BCBA consultations that do not require an in-person visit. Useful for families in outlying areas too.

No diagnosis needed to start. If your family is still in that process, we offer assessments and can connect you to evaluation resources in the Anchorage area.

What Sets Kennedy ABA Apart

We come to you.

No waiting room. No commute. Your therapist meets your child where they actually live.

BCBA oversight on every program.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst designs and supervises your child’s plan. Data reviewed regularly, strategies adjusted as your child grows.

Family partnership from day one.

Parent coaching is not an add-on. It is core to how we work. You are the most important person in your child’s life, and we build on that.

We do not turn away complex cases.

Significant behavioral challenges, limited communication, co-occurring diagnoses. We have experience across the full spectrum and we do not refer out the families who need us most.

Military families welcomed.

Anchorage is home to JBER. We accept all Tricare plans and understand the coordination challenges military families face, including when orders change.

Anchorage School District Coordination

The Anchorage School District is the largest in Alaska, serving more than 44,000 students. It operates special education programs and participates in Alaska’s Medicaid School-Based Services program.

Kennedy ABA works alongside ASD, not around it. We align therapy goals with school-based supports, communicate with teachers, and attend IEP meetings when families invite us. One consistent program across home and school, not two separate efforts.

Neighborhoods We Serve

We also serve Wasilla, Palmer, and communities along the road system.

How Anchorage families access ABA therapy

Most Anchorage families pay little to nothing out of pocket for ABA therapy. Alaska’s autism insurance law requires coverage for ABA services, and Kennedy ABA handles all the paperwork so you can focus on your child.

Alaska's autism insurance mandate

If you have health insurance in Anchorage, whether through your employer, the Marketplace, or a private plan, Alaska law (Senate Bill 74, effective 2013) requires coverage for ABA therapy for individuals under 21, with no annual dollar cap. This includes diagnosis, therapy sessions, and parent training.

Alaska Medicaid in Anchorage

Anchorage families with Alaska Medicaid or Denali KidCare have access to medically necessary ABA services with no annual dollar cap, covered through the EPSDT program.
